You're entering a zone of fading. A moment. A hallway. A drug. The last bulb is flickering. The others gave up long ago.
This performance takes place in a suspended zone where disappearance unfolds over time. Individuals don’t vanish all at once; they reduce, they fragment, and eventually they fade. You are encouraged to relax. Please take off your shoes. Please remove your name. Your face. You won’t be missed.
The structure is loose by design. Rooms are suggested but not enclosed. Communication breaks down. Language is repeated until it loses meaning. The play unfolds through broken instructions, distorted memories, and layered fragments--an unsettling collage of texts laced with bleak humor.
Is disappearing even possible anymore? And if so, what tempo does it follow? Is there a rhythm to it? A pattern? Or is disappearance just becoming an echo, less voice, more trace, more tolerated than heard?
Following up on last season‘s acclaimed performance on paranoia High Fever, Max Blom is about to craft another riveting, hilariously disturbing collage of texts, songs and magic moments for TNL, this time dealing with the subject of disappearance.
